    Since the mid of the 1970ies I had been a member of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI), the German association of computer scientists, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS). But as I am not active in computer science any more, in particular in active research and development, I let these memberships and the associated subscriptions to their publications expire in recent years; the last one was the IEEE-CS at the end of 2022.

    My current needs for access to publications of these societies as well as others are well served by the libraries of the two universities here in Jena and by online services.
