IM2026   Registration for IM2026

32nd International Meeting of Collectors and Researchers
of Slide Rules and other Historic Computing Instruments

September, 11-13, 2026 in Mainz, Germany

As outlined on the IM2026 web page we need a pre-registration of participants, in order decide, if we can have the IM in person in Mainz. As we did not have meetings in Europe for six years, we do not have a proper planning base. Here are the main points again:

  • We will have an IM2026 in any case.
  • We want to have it in person in Mainz, but we have to base that on commitments on a deadline, where we can still switch the format.
  • If we do not have (a) at least 22 definite registrations and (b) a sufficient number of presentations at the deadline of Sunday 2026-07-26 noon CEST, the meeting in Mainz will be cancelled, and instead there will be an online ZOOM meeting at the same weekend, on Saturday/Sunday 2026-09-12/13, similar to those in recent years.

Your pre-registration is needed as soon as possible!

pre-registration   We have prepared some forms to fill in you, one of you must select, download, fill in, and send by email to the IM2026 organizer. We provide these forms in two file variants, a pure text file for using an editor and a MicroSoft Word file (also usable in Open/Libre-Office).

If you want to come to IM2026 in Mainz

We assume that you will participate in the alternate ZOOM IM, in case we do not reach the critical mass for a meeting in Mainz.

If you cannot come to Mainz, but would like to participate in an online ZOOM IM2026

Please use the pre-registration form also for your offer of a presentation / paper at the the meeting. If you have only a rough idea, or are unsure of the subject or its suitability, write a short sketch and we will discuss it. Don't be shy!

registration 		  This part will come soon, with a form similar to the ones of the pre-registration in order to fix some final details. But first, we need a sufficient number of pre-registrations.

This will also contain the full price schedule. Right now:
(1) Room rate at the conference hotel: 120€ per night, including breakfast. If you come with your partner, there will only a second breakfast charge of 11€, same room rate.
(2) There will be a conference fee. The final amount is not yet set, as it depends on the number of participants and the particular conference room needed. The price will be calculated as soon as we can make reasonable predictions based on the pre-registration.
(3) Dinner on Friday and Saturday will be extra.
(4) The full registration is a binding contract with the conference hotel with limited cancellation options. No-Shows will be charged. More on that later.
