The participation is open to anybody properly registered. A membership in any of the organizing organisations / societies is not needed. Furthermore, it is free of charge for everybody taking part, although we kindly ask you for a little voluntary donation to make everything happen — see below.

Take the following lines for your registration

and paste them to the body of an email to karl.kleine@eah-jena.de. Add the subject line 'IM2026 registration', if it was not already done automatically so, fill this form with your data, and send it. We need your name on both the registration and on your connect to zoom at the meeting, due to bad experience at a former meeting. We also would like to have your contact data and including the location, where you are from. Any personal data you provide will only be used for the organization of IM2026 and some statistics. Please provide the country in the form of the ISO two-letter country code, like DE, CH, or US, and for the USA please add the state code after the place name, so that we can get a geographical summary to plan further meetings. When you connect to the Zoom session at the meeting, use your full real name as on the registration, not just some initials, nickname, or other fakes. We want a meeting of real people!

Reservation requests will be handled on a weekly basis
and processed and confirmed on the next Sunday.
Each Sunday confirmation emails will be sent out.
This will also happen the last time on Thursday 9/10.
If you do not receive confirmation, check for spam
emails and their suppression in your email system,
and I will do the same here. Try to reach me by some other
way if necessary, maybe with the help by some other collector
you know.
You will get your Zoom access code / URL to connect via your web browser close to the meeting, i.e. on Thursday or Friday, September 10-11, by email. | |

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch!
An old saying and acronym, but made popular again by Robert Heinlein in some of his SF novels. And it applies for IMs also. This year's IM is organized by me, Karl Kleine, for RST, the group of German / German speaking slide rule collectors. RST is not a legal entity like the Oughtred Society, the UKSRC, or the KRING. RST does not collect membership dues, does not have any funds, as we do not legally exist; read more about it on the IM history page. As IM2026 is a personal project to provide continuity to the collectors' community with a yearly conference, I have to cover the costs and risks somehow, in particular with the unfortunate failed attempt of a face-to-face meeting in Mainz. Therefore I ask you for a small donation of 10 € (or hopefully somewhat more). Any resulting surplus after IM2026 will be used for RST activities. IM2026 participation is free for anybody and not bound to this donation, but your voluntary donation makes it possible, this year's IM and further such events. Please send your donation either by PayPal to karl.kleine@eah-jena.de or for European countries by SEPA bank transfer to account Karl Kleine, IBAN DE49 6609 0800 0002 1536 29. Important: Add 'IM2026' and your name or email address to your PayPal/SEPA transaction so that I can match it with yor registration email. Sorry, no other bank transfers or payment options. |
