  Many readers will expect a full programe here in this place, but unfortunately, we are not yet in the situation to present it. We do have speakers, and they are working on their presentations as well their contributions to the proceedings.

Our main issue are the times required for each talk and how we can fit everything in the planned programme shedule. This will be resolved in the near future. Right now we do have talks about

  • the motto / theme of this International Meeting
    Slide Rules for, with, and in the Media
    • typesetting
    • graphics
    • sound systems
    • photography
    • moving pictures / movies
  • the use of AI
    • searching information about slide rules in current systems
    • putting information about slide rules into an AI system for easy use
  • W G Richardson and his slide rules
  • Napiers computations for his type of logarithms
  • past, present and future of slide rule collecting
    • The International Slide Rule Workshop series
    • The International Meetings

So we will have a full and colorful programme ahead; we are just working on how and in which sequence we will put everything together.
